Kaye has two sons, one of which is affected by Autism and challenging behaviour. Kaye first met Sue when she started to attend the community care service Sue was co-managing, as there was a support group Sue had developed. Kaye has a background in communications so as you can imagine, works brilliantly with families as she is able to support family members positively, but not only can she do the “talk” she can do the “walk”! She is very proactive in how she supports parents and carers and has a positive approach when needing to be a voice for parents!
Kaye also has brilliant organisation skills which are essential, in not just the running of The Autumn Group, but also the project Seasons 4 Change; and trust me, organisation is an absolute must in delivering this project to families in ways they want it to be. Kaye is a fun loving; witty, intelligent woman who does a fantastic job of being a mum to 2 very active and feisty young boys but still always makes The Autumn Group a priority in her life.
Emotional and Empathetic support to parent/carers & other family members in caring roles specifically in Autism and Aspergers in a warm, friendly environment.
The Autumn Group also provide workshops in various areas of Disability, Autism, Sensory Processing issues and Caring. We organise and hold Social activities....
The Autumn GroupĀ runs support sessions on a "drop in" basis so parents, carers and other families members are welcome to come...
